CourseWorkBooks offers Scoring and Item Analysis of your students' completed Mock Regents exams as an optional service. This service is available for Mock Regents exams purchased from CourseWorkBooks only and may not include reproduced copies.
$5 per exam ($100 minimum)
On the top right corner of each exam is a box for printing the Student ID, Teacher, and Class Section. If you choose to provide these (see below), please print clearly, preferably by applying computer-generated labels rather than writing by hand. If this section is left blank, please make sure the student's name is printed on the front page and answer sheet of each booklet.
If Student IDs are printed on the exams, these will replace the student names in the Scoring and Item Anaylsis. If you prefer to have both the Student Names and IDs appear on the report, please contact us prior to shipping.
If Student IDs are printed, you may elect to redact or cut out the student names for privacy, but if you do, please be sure to also print the Student IDs on the top right corner of the answer sheets in case the pages become separated.
If the Teachers (ID codes or names) and Class Sections are printed on all exams, then the Item Analysis will be aggregated by these subgroups as well.
After students take the exam, ship the completed exams to CourseWorkBooks (at the school's expense). Include a insert with the full name and email address of the school representative to whom the results and the scored exams will be sent.
Once CourseWorkBooks receives the exams, an Invoice for $5 per exam will be sent out, which includes the return shipping costs. Please note that the Scoring services will not begin until the Invoice is paid. CourseWorkBooks charges a minimum of $100 for this service, even if less than 20 exams are to be scored.
After payment is received, the exams will be scored in red ink directly on the examination booklets. All exams will be personally scored by Donny Brusca, a New York State certified and experienced math teacher and author of the CourseWorkBooks publications. Exams that are just below passing will not be "scrubbed" for additional points.
CourseWorkBooks will then prepare in a password-protected Scoring and Item Analysis spreadsheet in Excel that will be emailed to the school representative. This will include summaries by question number and associated standards. Aggregated summaries by teacher and class section will also be provided if these are included on each exam.

The scored exams will be shipped back to the school representative at the school address, generally within one week, but possibly longer for a large number of exams. The cost of return shipping is included.
