Donny Brusca founded CourseWorkBooks in 2010.
He has retired from teaching and school administration after about 30 years of employment, mostly on the high school and college levels. He has a B.S. in mathematics and M.A. in computer and information science from Brooklyn College (CUNY) and a post-graduate P.D. in educational administration and supervision from St. John’s University.
His college instructional experiences include Brooklyn College, Pace University, and Touro College Graduate School of Technology. His high school teaching experiences include public, charter, Catholic, and Jewish schools.
His administrative experiences include serving as the Student Data Systems Manager at a charter management organization and high school and as the Academic Dean at a Manhattan business college. For several years, he was responsible for student scheduling in a high school of about 1000 students.
He has taught courses in algebra, geometry, probability, discrete structures, computer programming, web design, data structures, switching theory, computer architecture, and application software. He has taught all three Regents level mathematics courses and AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles.
He owned and operated a successful part-time disc jockey business (Sound Sensation), performing personally at nearly 1000 weddings and private events over a 12 year span.
He has managed and coached high school baseball teams, after playing for over 40 years in organized baseball and softball leagues. He currently works part time as a baseball umpire.
He lives in Staten Island, NY, with his wife, Camille, and their cats.
